Repair or replace?
Not every window problem needs a full replacement. A stuck sash, worn weatherstripping or a broken balance spring is usually a repair. A fogged-up sealed unit (that hazy look between the panes), a rotted wood frame, or single-pane glass in an older Surrey home is where replacement starts to make more sense — both for comfort and for the heating bill. Frame condition matters as much as the glass
