Demolition & Waste
Hauling, clearance and light demolition for homes, strata buildings and commercial properties across Surrey and the Lower Mainland.

How a job gets scoped
We start with a walkthrough — what's being removed, how much of it, and what the access looks like (stairs, elevator restrictions in strata buildings, how far the truck can park from the door). That determines whether it's a same-day haul or a multi-day job, and whether anything needs to be broken down on-site before it goes in the trailer.
With our fleet of two Ford F150 trucks and a robust walled trailer capable of hauling up to 4,000 lbs, we're equipped to tackle jobs from a single room's worth of debris up to a full basement clearance. General construction debris, old furniture, flooring, drywall and yard waste are all standard hauls that go straight into the schedule.
What needs special handling
Some materials need licensed specialty handling rather than a standard haul — asbestos-containing material (common in ceiling texture and some flooring adhesive in homes built before the early 1990s), appliances still holding refrigerant, and chemicals or paint. We flag these during the walkthrough; if a job includes material like this, we'll tell you honestly rather than take it on outside what we're equipped and licensed for.
Permits for interior demolition
Non-structural interior demolition — pulling cabinetry, non-load-bearing walls, flooring — generally doesn't need a City of Surrey building permit on its own. Removing or altering load-bearing walls, or demolition that's part of a larger structural renovation, usually does. We confirm which category applies before starting so there's no surprise partway through.
Timeline by job size
A single-room clearance or small demolition is typically same-day. A full basement clearance or larger interior demo runs 1-3 days depending on volume and access. Don't let clutter or demolition debris hold you back – contact us for a specific estimate once we've seen the space.
Demolition & waste removal FAQ
- What can you haul away, and what needs special handling?
- General construction debris, old furniture, appliances without refrigerant, drywall, flooring and yard waste are all standard hauls. Hazardous materials — asbestos-containing material, refrigerant-holding appliances, paint and chemicals — need licensed specialty handling and disposal, which we'll flag during the walkthrough rather than take on ourselves if it falls outside what we're equipped for.
- Do I need a permit for interior demolition in Surrey?
- Non-structural interior demolition — removing cabinetry, non-load-bearing walls, flooring — generally does not require a City of Surrey permit on its own. Removing or altering load-bearing walls, or demolition tied to a larger renovation that changes the structure, usually does. We confirm which category your job falls into before we start.
- How long does a typical job take?
- A single-room clearance or small demolition is usually a same-day job. A full basement clearance or larger interior demo runs 1-3 days depending on volume and access. We give a specific estimate after seeing the space, since stairs, parking distance and how much needs to be broken down before hauling all affect the timeline.
- Where does the waste actually go?
- Material goes to the appropriate transfer station or recycling depot depending on type — clean wood, metal and drywall are sorted for recycling where the receiving facility supports it, rather than everything going straight to landfill.
